Borealmere was founded by a small group of Canadian fintech engineers, quantitative researchers and compliance specialists who had spent years inside conventional brokerages and decided that retail crypto deserved a better-built product. The team has grown into a multi-disciplinary group spanning Toronto, Vancouver and Montréal — all working under a single mandate: ship the safest and most explainable AI trading workspace for Canadian investors.
Lena Beaumont
Former head of digital products at a Bay Street brokerage. Sets strategy and leads our Canadian regulatory engagement.
Marcus Tremblay
Built low-latency execution systems for two North American venues. Owns the matching engine and the AI signal pipeline.
Isabelle Ouellet
Securities lawyer (Ontario, Québec). Oversees AML, KYC and ongoing engagement with the Canadian Securities Administrators.

Twelve years of derivatives modelling at a Toronto hedge fund. Curates the signal models that power our assistant.

How we hire
We hire engineers who are comfortable owning a problem end-to-end and compliance professionals who treat user safety as a craft. The team is small enough that everyone speaks to customers and large enough to ship continuously.
